Welcome to Moody Māori. Tāniko items proudly woven in Aotearoa (New Zealand) in the sunny Bay of Plenty. Traditionally woven using harakeke (phorium tenax) here at Moody Maori we choose cotton and silk to showcase our Tāniko offering a glimpse into Te Ao Māori (Māori world view). Moody Maori aknowledges Māori weavers gone before who laid the foundations of Tāniko through their passing down of knowledge, technical ability and creative excellence.

Our Tāniko items are the anchor of Moody Māori. Exclusive Taniko items will be 'one of a kind' never again to be rewoven using same colour combinations and patterns sold by Moody Māori. These items will include small and large shoulder bags, hat bands, belts, poi, headbands, single long earrings and more. These items will only be limited and available periodically (up to 4 times annually) promoted via social media (Facebook and Instagram) so if you're interested in owning an exclusive Taniko item, please check into our socials.

Our Safety Keychains come in different sizes colors and prices. Moody Māori sources and up-cycles beads and jewelry locally that we re-fit with new hardware and create bead combinations that you won't find in the mass market. By combining new and up-cycled glass, ceramic, clay, wood plastic and silicone beads we are able to offer unique and distinctive items such as bead bars and keychain bracelets. Our upcycled jewelry is limited due to local availability and quality. Please check out our Keychain items to see if anything catches your fancy.

Our resin items are entirely handmade by Moody Maori and include initials, charms, phone poppers and other keychain acessories.
